At LEAV Aviation, sustainability is an integral part of our business model. As a member of the International Association for Sustainable Aviation (IASA), we focus on innovations that make air travel more efficient, safer and more environmentally friendly.
Technology instead of restrictions
We rely on modern, fuel-efficient engines, optimised flight routes and environmentally friendly in-flight services to reduce CO₂, emissions and noise – in a way that is both economically viable and effective. After all, technological solutions make a real contribution, whereas bans or offsetting do not bring about sustainable change.

Together with partners from academia, industry and politics, we promote innovations that intelligently combine environmental protection and economic efficiency. Through IASA, we are committed to affordable, unrestricted and climate-friendly mobility for the future.

LEAV it green – Planting Trees Together
In partnership with Sunwave, you can support the “Forest is Climate” tree-planting campaign in the Harz region. In recent years, droughts, storms and bark beetles have destroyed large parts of the forest there. To strengthen the forests in the long term, climate-friendly mixed forests are now being planted instead of pure coniferous forests.
How does it work
With every booking, you have the option to plant one or more additional trees.
You are free to choose how many trees you would like to contribute – we pass on 100% of your contribution to Sunwave. The trees are then planted in the Harz Mountains, thereby specifically supporting our native forests.
Why plant trees
Trees are vital for climate protection: a mature tree can sequester an average of 10–20 kg of CO₂ per year and store around 500–1,000 kg of CO₂ over its lifetime. At the same time, they improve air quality and provide a habitat for many animals.
Our joint contribution
With “LEAV it green”, we want to help reforest damaged woodland and make the forest fit for the future. Every tree planted is a step towards a greener future.
Social Responsibility – Memories to Last a Lifetime
For us, sustainability means not only protecting the environment, but also taking social responsibility. It is particularly important to us to give children special experiences that are not a given for everyone.
A Glimpse Into the World of Aviation
Together with partners – including Cologne/Bonn Airport – we regularly organise events centred around flying and airports. Many children have never had the chance to see an aeroplane up close or visit an airport. This is exactly where our events come in: they offer a glimpse behind the scenes, teach children about technology and processes in a fun way, and create special moments that are often out of reach in everyday life.
World Children’s Day at the airport
To mark World Children’s Day, children from various organisations were invited to spend an exciting day at the airport. The programme included a visit to the airport cinema, creative hands-on activities and an insight into the work of the airport fire brigade. A day full of new experiences – a welcome break from the daily routine.
Fly to Lapland – a truly special experience
In the run-up to Christmas, we opened our aircraft doors to our young guests. The children were allowed to come on board, explore the cockpit, sing together – and even meet Father Christmas, who collected their wish lists. An experience that will stay with many children for a long time to come.
